Cilamin 250 is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, Wilson's disease, and cystinuria. It slows the progression of rheumatoid arthritis and provides relief from pain and swelling in the joints. For treatment of Wilson's disease, it helps to remove the excess copper from the body.

Cilamin 250 is to be taken in an empty stomach. You should take it regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefit from it. Keep taking it as recommended by your doctor and complete the dose even if you feel better.

Using of this medicine may cause some common side effects such as rashes, anorexia, epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of taste, and proteinuria. Your doctor may recommend regular blood tests to check and make sure the medicine is not harming your liver or effecting your blood counts. You should consult with your doctor if any of these side effects does resolve with time or get worse. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these symptoms.

It works in Wilson's disease by helping the body to remove excess copper, and in cystinuria by preventing cystine stone formation through increased solubility.

Kidney  CAUTION
Cilamin 250 should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cilamin 250 may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Cilamin 250 is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Alcohol  SAFE
Consuming alcohol with Cilamin 250 does not cause any harmful side effects.
Driving  SAFE
Cilamin 250 does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Pregnancy  CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Cilamin 250 is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding  SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Cilamin 250 is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.Taking Cilamin 250 right after nursing and waiting for 4 to 6 hours before nursing again will minimize the harmful effects to the baby.
Liver  SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
