How Adc Eye Drop Works
Adc is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, Chloramphenicol and Dexamethasone. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine which works by making the pupil of your eye larger and relax the muscles in your eye. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
How to Use Adc Eye Drop
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

Quick Tips
- You should wash your hands after using the eye drops and great care should be taken to avoid getting the product into the mouth.
- Do not wear contact lenses during treatment and for 24 hours after your last dose.
- Adc is used for the treatment of uveitis.
- Adc may cause blurred vision which may last for some time. Make sure you can see clearly again before you drive and before you use tools or machines.
- Inform your doctor if you have been told you have a higher than normal pressure in your eye, or if you have glaucoma.
- After applying Adc, close your eyes, and place one finger at the corner of your eye. Apply gentle pressure for 1 to 2 minutes before opening your eyes. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.
- To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.
- The eye drops should be discarded 4 weeks after the first opening.
