How Capgel Plus Gel Works
Capgel Plus is a combination of three medicines. Adapalene is a form of vitamin A that treats acne (pimples). It works by preventing the accumulation of the sebum (skin’s natural oil) which unblocks the pores and allows natural exfoliation of the outer layers of skin. Clindamycin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing and prevents the infection from spreading. Zinc acetate has an antioxidant activity that protects the cells from toxins. This is how it works against acne.
How to Use Capgel Plus Gel
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Quick Tips
- Apply it to all of the areas where your acne is present and not just to each acne.
- Capgel Plus is used for the treatment of acne.
- If, however, your skin has not improved even after completing the prescribed time, consult your doctor.
- Try to avoid getting it on the sensitive areas of your skin in or around your nostrils, your eyes, and your mouth.
- The most common reason for treatment failure is giving up too soon, thinking that the treatment is not working. Continue using it as prescribed.
- If your skin becomes very dry, using a moisturizing cream (preferably a fragrance-free and water-based cream) might help. Do not use ointments or oil-rich creams, as these could clog your pores again.
- Capgel Plus may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight than usual. Therefore, it is best to apply it at night and wash it off in the morning. A sun protection cream can also help if you are out in the sun or even if it is cloudy outside.
- Before you apply this medicine, wash the area with any medicated facewash and water and gently dry it with a towel.
