Answer

Facitinib 2% Gel Reviews

Facitinib 2% is used to treat atopic dermatitis and hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause redness, swelling, and itching or cause hair shedding in the affected area.

Facitinib 2% should be used in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need, it will not clear your condition faster and may cause undesirable side effects.

This medicine is usually safe to use and does not usually cause any side effects. However, if you experience any symptoms on using the medicine, let your doctor know. They may suggest ways to minimize or treat the side effects.

It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way this medicine works, but talk to your doctor before using it if you have recently used another medicine that contains a steroid or had an allergic reaction to another medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors before using this medicine.

How Facitinib 2% Gel Works

Facitinib 2% suppresses overactive immune system by inhibiting certain enzymes called Janus kinases (JAKs). Thus, Facitinib 2% blocks the production of pro-inflammatory substances (including cytokines) that contribute to the development of inflammation and other symptoms of atopic dermatitis. When used for androgenetic alopecia, Facitinib 2% prevents destruction of hair follicles by overactive immune system. Applying Facitinib 2% helps in hair regrowth in areas affected by androgenetic alopecia.
