What if you forget to take Norgesic?
If you miss a dose of Norgesic, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Norgesic is a combination medicine that helps in relieving pain. It works by first cooling the skin then warming it up. This cooling and warming up action improves blood circulation and distracts the patient from pain.
Norgesic is only meant for external use and should be used strictly as advised by your doctor. Rub a thin layer of the medicine into the affected areas with clean and dry hands. Avoid getting in contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth and avoid applying it on wounded or damaged skin. How Norgesic Gel Works
Norgesic is a combination of four medicines: Diclofenac, Capsaicin, Methyl Salicylate, Menthol and Linseed Oil which relieves pain and inflammation. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain, fever, and inflammation (redness). Capsaicin works by blocking pain messages to the nerves. This relieves minor aches and pains in the muscles and joints. Methyl Salicylate and Menthol are topical analgesics (pain relievers). They work by first cooling the skin and then warming it up. This cooling and warming up action distracts from feeling the pain.
How to Use Norgesic Gel
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Quick Tips
- Do not apply to large areas of skin or near sensitive areas such as private parts or on broken or injured skin.
- Avoid applying Norgesic right after bathing or shaving. Using this medication on freshly shaved skin areas can cause severe skin irritation.
- Consult your doctor if you get excessive skin irritation or other unwanted effects.
- Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, nose and rinse thoroughly in case of accidental contact or seek medical help in case of swallowing.
