How Poridip-S Lotion Works

Poridip-S is a combination of three medicines: Betamethasone, Salicylic Acid and Zinc Oxide which treat eczema and psoriasis. Betamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Betamethasone into the skin. Zinc Oxide has astringent and antiseptic action.

This medicine is for external use only. Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake it well and apply to the area evenly.

Apply 1-2 times a day or as prescribed by your doctor. You might see an improvement in your skin after 2 to 3 weeks of treatment.
In Psoriasis: Psoriasis is a skin problem in which skin cells build up and form scales and dry patches which are itchy and painful. Applying Poridip-S helps manage psoriasis symptoms like itching, pain, redness, swelling or irritation. It moisturizes the skin and makes it soft and smooth. Quick Tips

Do not apply it on your face unless your doctor has asked you to. If you have been told to use it on your face, be careful not to get any preparation near your eyes, and do not use it for longer periods of time than you have been advised.
If you are using a moisturizer along with this preparation, apply the moisturizer first. Then wait 10-15 minutes before applying Poridip-S.
Your skin may become more sensitive to sunlight than normal while you are using Poridip-S. Try to avoid sitting out in the sun and do not use sunbeds.
Poridip-S is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort associated with psoriasis and eczema.
After you have applied Poridip-S, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area).
Do not apply it on open wounds and cuts.
Apply to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
