Answer

Question
When should I call my child’s doctor right away?
You should call the doctor without any delay if your child starts to develop side effects such as irregular heartbeat, vision problem, muscle spasm, irregular bodily movements, sudden weakness, and inability to empty the bladder completely (urinary retention).
Answer

Question
My child is 1 year old. Is it safe to give Fuma Plus to my child who is suffering from a common cold?
Fuma Plus should not be given to children less than 2 years of age as it may cause fatal respiratory depression wherein your child’s breathing may stop completely.
Answer

Question
Where should I keep Fuma Plus?
Keep Fuma Plus out of the reach and sight of children to avoid any accidental intake. Keep it at room temperature, in a dry place, away from direct heat and light.
Answer

Question
Can Fuma Plus make my child sleepy?
Fuma Plus may cause mild drowsiness, making your child feel sleepy. So, be cautious and never give this medicine if your child is suffering from a sleep disorder as this medicine can mask the symptoms of underlying sleep disorders like insomnia. It is always best to consult your child’s doctor before giving this medicine to your child.
Answer

Question
My child is an athlete and has to participate in a sports event in the school. Can I give Fuma Plus before his performance?
This medicine may cause CNS depression in which the normal nerve functioning slows down. So, avoid giving Fuma Plus to your child if he/she is scheduled to perform tasks that require mental alertness.
Answer

Question
What if I give an overdose of Fuma Plus by mistake?
Always stick to the prescribed dose. Prolonged or excess intake of Fuma Plus can put your child at risk of developing serious side effects like bradycardia, decreased blood pressure, confusion, delirium, disorientation, dizziness, drowsiness, and hallucinations. Rush to your child’s doctor immediately if you feel you have given excess Fuma Plus to your child. To pour out the right dose, use the calibrated cup provided with the medicine by the manufacturer. Do not use a kitchen teaspoon as it will not give the correct estimate.
Answer

Question
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Fuma Plus?
Fuma Plus can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Fuma Plus. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
Answer
Question
What if I forget to give Fuma Plus to my child?
Do not panic. The missed dose can be given as soon as you remember, but only if your child’s doctor advises to. Do not give the missed dose if it is almost the time for the next dose. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule and do not give a double dose to catch up with the missed dose.

Fuma Plus Syrup Reviews

Fuma Plus treats allergic and short-term common cold symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, skin rash, and itching in children. It also helps treat nausea, and vomiting caused after surgery or due to motion sickness (travel sickness).

When given post-surgery, it makes your child sleepy and relaxed, helping the pain-relieving medicines work better. Give Fuma Plus to your child by mouth either before or after food. If your child develops stomach upset, give it preferably after food. The usual prescribed frequency is two to four times a day but may vary as per your child’s condition. For motion sickness, give Fuma Plus 30 to 60 minutes before travel whereas to prevent vomiting post-surgery, you may need to give it a night before the surgical procedure or just before the surgery and may need to continue it afterward as directed.

If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, give the same dose again. However, never repeat the dose if the next scheduled dose is near. Your child may start to feel better within a few days of regular dosing. However, you must continue giving the medicine to your child to finish the complete prescribed course as stopping it abruptly may worsen your child’s condition.

Some of the minor and temporary side effects that your child may experience while taking Fuma Plus include dry mouth, blurring of vision, drowsiness, dizziness, and constipation. These side effects usually subside once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. In case they persist or become bothersome for your child, consult your child’s doctor without any delay.

Inform the doctor if your child has any ongoing medicine regime or history of any allergy, heart problem, blood disorder, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, skin disorder, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. Awareness of your child’s medical history will help the doctor make dose alterations and better treatment planning.

How Fuma Plus Syrup Works

Fuma Plus is an antiallergic medication. When the body is exposed to an allergen (pollen, animal dander, house dust, etc.), it releases a chemical called histamine. This chemical causes watery eyes, runny or blocked nose, sneezing, skin rashes, itching, etc. Fuma Plus also works directly on several areas of the brain to prevent nausea and vomiting and help you feel more relaxed.

How to Use Fuma Plus Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Fuma Plus may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
