How Supressor Syrup Works
Supressor is a combination of four medicines: Menthol, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide and Phenylpropanolamine which relieve dry cough. Menthol produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Phenylpropanolamine is a sympathomimetic agonist. It narrows blood vessels in the nose to relieve congestion.
How to Use Supressor Syrup
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Supressor may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
