Digon Tablet Reviews

Digon is a medicine used for the treatment of heart failure in combination with other medicines. It helps to provide symptomatic relief by making the heart pump blood more efficiently. This medicine is also used to treat abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia).

Digon restores and maintains a normal and steady heartbeat. It should be taken regularly as advised by the doctor. You may take it with or without food but it is better to take this medicine at a fixed time. This medicine should not be stopped abruptly without consulting the doctor as this can worsen your condition. Regular follow-up with your doctor is advised while using this medicine.

Common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and visual disturbances. Consult your doctor if these effects bother you. This medicine is used with caution for some people. Thus, you must inform the doctor if you are suffering from any kidney disease. Also, let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and about all the other medications that you are taking regularly. Your doctor may advise for regular monitoring of kidney function while you are taking this medicine.

How Digon Tablet Works

Digon is a cardiac glycoside. It works by correcting irregular heartbeat to a normal rhythm and increases the force with which the heart muscle contracts with every heartbeat. This makes the heart pump more efficiently and increases blood circulation throughout the body.

How to Use Digon Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Digon may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Benefits of Digon Tablet

  • In Arrhythmia: Digon is used to stabilize heart rhythms (particularly atrial fibrillation). It helps in normalizing an abnormal heart rhythm, preventing it from occurring in the first place, or slowing down the heart rate during an episode.
  • In Heart failure: Heart failure means your heart is weak and cannot pump enough blood to your lungs and the rest of your body. The most common symptoms are breathlessness, tiredness, and swelling in your legs, ankles, abdomen and other parts of your body. Digon makes it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body and is therefore an effective treatment for heart failure. This medicine will help relieve your symptoms, making you feel better and more energetic. You should make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as eating healthily and keeping active) to help this medicine be effective. Take it regularly and keep taking it even if you feel better.
