Gabazest Tablet Reviews

Gabazest is a combination medicine used in the treatment of neuropathic pain. It calms the damaged or overactive nerves by acting on the brain, thereby decreasing the sensation of pain. It also helps in the regeneration of damaged nerves in the body.

Gabazest should be taken on an empty stomach. It is advised to take this medicine at a fixed time each day to maintain a consistent level in the blood. If you miss any doses, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly as it may worsen your symptoms.

Some common side effects of this medicine include tiredness and uncoordinated body movements. This medicine causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. However, these side effects are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you.

Before taking Gabazest, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your kidneys, heart, liver, or have a history of seizures (epilepsy or fits). Inform your doctor if you develop any unusual changes in mood or behavior, new or worsening depression, or if you have any suicidal thoughts. This medicine may increase your blood pressure, so it is better to monitor it regularly and consult your doctor if it is bothersome.

How Gabazest Tablet Works

Gabazest is a combination of four medicines. Gabapentin is an antiepileptic medication. It acts on the voltage‐dependent calcium ion channels of the nerve cells. As a result, it may help to prevent a series of events that may trigger nerve pain. Methylcobalamin and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) are vitamins and they restore the level of vitamins in the body thereby helping in strengthening the nervous system. Alpha Lipoic Acid acts as a potent antioxidant (a substance that protects against cell damage) by neutralizing the free radicals (waste products formed in the body during energy production) such as reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. Further, it initiates natural antioxidant processes in the body. It also maintains the levels of Vitamin E and Vitamin C in the body. This is how it works to treat neuropathic pain (pain in the nerves).

How to Use Gabazest Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gabazest is to be taken empty stomach.
